OUR HISTORY
Lechwe school was founded in 1977 in a local church hall. It started as a Primary School with 40 learners and 4 staff members. The first Principal was Mrs. E. O'Mahoney.
In 1992 it was expanded to incorporate a Secondary School section. Various buildings were added through the years and in 1996 the first A-level classes were introduced and in that same year boarding facilities were established
The school follows the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and Cambridge Primary Syllabus (CPS) in the primary school and the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) and Cambridge Assessment International Education syllabus for the secondary section both of which take our locality into account.
To be a part of a long term and lasting solution to social problems that are related to lack of proper education, such as racism, nationalism, drug and substance abuse, rise of juvenile crime and aggression, and the destruction of the environment and resources of our planet.
